I was born in 1984 in Northridge, California and from early on I've always known what I wanted to do with my life; to be a great artist. As a child I drew constantly, taking inspiration from all sorts of illustrative books, movies, comics, and anything I could get my hands on. I would use crayons, pens and markers to create all of my childhood artwork which usually consisted of demons and scary faces, as you can see, not much has changed.

As I entered my teenage years I became discouraged with using traditional mediums and eventually switched to digital art. I thought it would be cool to get paid to do graphic design. In my 20's I began a career as a Graphic Designer, but after five years of designing artwork on the computer I knew I needed a different artistic outlet.

Luckily at this time I was getting tattooed by Mike DeVries. I loved hanging out in his studio and watching the artists at work. Being a tattoo artist seemed like a dream job to me. One day while I was getting tattooed we began talking and a few weeks later I started my apprenticeship! Mike showed me the ropes and I eventually started tattooing. Learning to tattoo has been an amazing experience. Skin is truly the ultimate medium and I feel blessed that I was able to start something completely new and love it so much.

As of 2019, I have been tattooing for ten years and in April of 2019 I opened my very own studio, Tribute Tattoo in West Hills, CA. (www.TributeTattooStudio.com) where I work along side my talented friend Brett Herman and my apprentice Gage Turner. It has been a big accomplishment to finally have a place to call my own. Please feel free to visit us any time. We would be happy to work with you bringing your ideas to life!

Sincerely,

Jamie Lee Parker
